Two Bakersfield Students Are Modern Bonnie and Clyde

They are not a couple, but they might as well be. They are more alike than any other people I have ever met. And the thing they have in common? Liking to commit petty crimes.

Between the two of them, they've been hauled off property, caught with marijuana, caught driving a car without a license, and now one of them is on parole for running away from home. And they're not ashamed; they are proud of what they've "accomplished" and tell whoever wants to know about everything.

They are dangerously close to being expelled, and after this high school, they've only got one left that will take them: the most violent high school in Bakersfield.

They are failing nearly all of their classes, and do not care about that either. They are ruining their futures, and they brag about it. Unfortunately, this is not rare. Many students are the same way. It's an epidemic, and it's growing. Fast.
