They are usually fairly quiet. Their opinions aren't loud and they blend in well. Many play in the band and receive very good grades in all subjects. But now they've gone from wearing their rosaries and talking about the new pope to pushing a gay agenda.
Of course they have every right to be pro-gay rights. However, the way they are suddenly going about it - a new crusade that started just this week - is very invasive. It began when one of their friends called a bi kid "weird." One of the Catholic girls has a sister who is bi. I can understand being somewhat offended. But she went from being quietly offended to launching a crusade against the boy who inadvertently offended her.
Now the boy, who is known to have suicidal tendencies, has been cut off from the rest of the group. He now hangs out alone and has been ostracized. How did such nice kids become bullies overnight? I don't know, but I've seen it happen before, and I'll see it happen again, unfortunately. The public school system encourages such things by pushing agendas and ignoring children who are bullied.
